NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Residents have until November 20, 2026, to participate in an official City of Newport Beach public-art poll for the next rotation of works at Civic Center Park.
The city says 21 sculpture finalists have passed initial screening for outdoor durability, artistic quality and safety. Voters can select up to ten favorites in the Phase XI public poll.
Who may vote?
According to the city’s rules, the online survey is for Newport Beach residents only, and each person may vote once. Voters are required to provide an email address and ZIP code.
The results will be provided to the selection jury, but the poll is advisory, not a binding election. The city must still check availability, safety and installation issues, and the City Council has final approval of the selected pieces.
What happens to the art?
The selected sculptures are installed on three-year loans and rotated over time. The city manages installation under a contract with Arts Orange County, while participating artists have maintenance responsibilities.
Residents can read details and use the official voting instructions on the city’s Sculpture Exhibition page. This poll is organized by the City of Newport Beach, not by California58.
